Allowing Harmony

Welcome to our new format snippets. Our aim is to have you think about how your mind and spirit influence you every day, so you can harness their power to create more of what you want in your life.

Each snippet we will discuss a different topic and provide you with a suggested ‘Action for the Week’ to help you incorporate that topic into your life.

This Snippet topic is Allowing Harmony into your life.

Each night on the 6 pm News on television, there is a lot of focus on all the disharmony that exists in the world. Often the first few stories are about incidences that have occurred over the last 24 hours. It can include stories where neighbours or families are arguing amongst themselves, or someone has attacked another person causing injury or worse. It could be about countries that are in disagreement over borders or other activities. Even the weather can be described as being out of harmony with what you want.

Harmony from the dictionary meaning is a relationship characterised by a lack of conflict or by agreement, as of opinion or interest. You are in harmony with yourself when you are aligned with your thoughts, beliefs, values and behaviours that are giving you what you what you want.

What if you decided to have more harmony in your life? What would your life be like? I know for me, a big part of having more harmony is to accept the world and people as they are. This does not mean I don’t want to help create change. As a Life Transformation Coach, I want to help people transform their life so they can take their life in a more positive direction.

As Confucius says, when I walk between 2 people, I take the good points of one and implement them in my life, and I take the bad points of the other and make a change within myself. Harmony is about looking external and creating internal changes.

Action for This Week

To have more harmony in your life, decide on one thing you will change in your life to be in greater harmony. This may be to read positive literature, turn off the news, spend time with people you enjoy rather than those you do not, or listen to a nice active meditation.

What you focus on, you create. Focus on Harmony and you will create harmony.
